This past weekend Marc and I finally got the chance to watch his Miami Dolphins play football, live and in person. It was his first time watching the Dolphins play and my first time watching an NFL game.
on the train
We decided to make an adventure of it and headed out on the Coaster train from our house to downtown San Diego. I really enjoyed sitting on the upper deck and watching the ocean pass by. I think Marc really enjoyed seeing other Dolphins fans on the train sporting their game day gear. In all honesty, I was pretty surprised just how many Dolphins fans were around us all day long.
Once we got to downtown San Diego we hopped on the trolley to Qualcomm Stadium. The trolley was definitely more packed then the train but luckily Marc and I found a seat next to some Chargers fans. These gentleman had been coming to games for years and shared some of their insight on when we should leave the game to beat the rush. All in all the transportation to and from the game was pretty easy and painless.
found our seats!
Once inside the stadium we made our way to our seats. It was a pretty good game to watch despite the Dolphins losing and the Dolphins quarterback injuring himself on a bad play. From what we hear he may be out for the rest of the season. I'm just thankful that Marc has some good friends whose wedding present to us made this trip possible.
